***FOOD ALLERGY***
Penny is being treated for chronic ear infections which is attributed to food allergy. She must be fed an allergy diet, preferably Venison, Bison, Rabbit or Duck. She is not predisposed to yeast so grain free is not a requirement. She has a wonderful prognosis as her ears are the only part affected, her short crop actually has helped her ears not be so bad over the years. Right now we are feeding her Royal Canin Venison Hypoallergenic until her ears get healed, then we will experiment with a good diet recommendation. We will always recommend an alternative protein like those listed above. Nutro has some Venison diets and Natural Balance has a whole series of “allergy” foods.
***FOOD ALLERGY***
Penny is a short and stocky girl, brindle with white and short cropped ears. She is a heavy weight contender with her ideal weight between 55 and 60 lbs. Penny is a beautiful dog with a striking silhouette, her brindling is absolutely stunning with light and dark browns in a chevron pattern down her back. What a wonderful girl, passed all of our screenings with flying colors. Takes treats nicely, no food aggression (doesn’t seem to be much of a chewer as she has shown little interest in bones so far). She pulls on leash and needs to learn her manners but she is overall a lovely girl. She is a very quiet dog
In foster care, she will be crate trained (she already appears house broken), leash trained and given some basic obedience. Penny appears to have been used solely for breeding. She has produced a lot of puppies over the years of her life. She was abandoned at a post office after her last litter with a prolapsed uterus.
Penny is UTD on shots, spayed, microchipped and HW negative. Penny is a nice calm adult dog, being a former mother, she's got a nice gentle nature.

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
