Here's Harley! Born in February 2011, his foster mom says that he is “10-months of pure sweetness”. He is a sweet, sweet boy who wants (and needs) to be with dogs that will play nice with him! He is a great dog who really enjoys pets and being “loved on”.
He walks well on a leash, knows the command 'come'. He has a healthy appetite, takes treats like a gentleman and has a great balance of play time and quiet time.
Harley prefers not to be alone, it can be a human or canine companion. Even if he's in his crate, he likes knowing there's someone else close by. He's not been observed around cats or children.
He will do best in a home without children while he adjusts as he still gets spooked by loud noises, or quick movements, but he's learning to deal with them without as much panicking. Patience is a must, though. Going through doorways or coming out of his crate still takes a little time.

All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. To set up a time to meet one of our animal companions, we must first have a completed application on file.

Please note that we do not adopt animal companions out to homes that show signs of indoor smoking. Adoption fee: $125
Adoption package: All animal companions adopted out of our foundation will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines (cats: FVRCP, Rabies; dogs: DHPP, Rabies) according to age, treated for worms, fleas, and/or ear mites, and micro-chipped. Cats will be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and cats 6+ months of age will be tested for FeLV & FIV. Animal companions will be neutered/spayed prior to or post adoption depending on his/her age.
