Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 5/16/12: Buddy has now been diagnosed with Diabetes. He is getting 2 insulin injections a day and we are working very hard with the veterinarian to stablize his glucose and to target his necessary insulin dose. Buddy has now been removed from being condsidered "adoptable". We are still listing him though and asking for finanacial help to cover his medical bills. Please consider a tax deductible donation to AMPS! you may donate at www.allminpinrescue.com thank you.
Update 3/29/12: Buddy did go on a meet and greet, but it really made him a nervous wreck. He was very nervous with the other dogs one of which was much bigger than him. He was better with the dog of similiar size. We are worried any additional stress might worsen his Cushings Disease. If Buddy is to be adopted at all, it will need to be a quiet home, with another min pin, or at least small dog, or as an only pet. Many min pins prefer the company of other min pins. It could be Buddy is one such Pin.
Buddy is a very sweet boy who came from the KCMO shelter as on owner surrender. He is a very special boy and needs a very special home. You see, he has a condition called Cushing's Disease. His adrenal glands produce too much cortisone. He takes a a pill everyday which keeps his cortisol levels in the normal range. His medicine will run approximately $65-75 a month, and he will need a blood test ran yearly to see if he is functioning okay. That will cost about $150 a year. Now, that is only part of his specialness- the rest is all wonderful! he is a very handsome, loveable boy! He enjoys cuddling, burrowing under blankets, treats, toys, and mealtimes! He would be a great companion to on walks with or shopping at your favorite pet friendly retailer! Buddy does fine with cats and most people, but does try to be bossy at first with other dogs. Once everyone is introduced though, he is ready to join the pack and have fun.
Buddy is a super fantastic boy and would love to have his own family that is as special as he is!
