Jasper (sometimes known as Red) is a handsome, fun-loving Australian Shepherd/Schnauzer mix (Schnaussie?) who loves balls and toys, his daily walks, snuggling, belly rubs and head scritches – and baths! He has great manners when indoors - very rarely barking and he gets along very well with the other dogs in his foster home. He has not been observed around cats. He will do best in a home with older kids only. He was born approximately January 2011 and weighs in at about 35 pounds.
He is also a fast learner. He knew no commands when he arrived at his foster home. Within the first week he had mastered : "Come, Sit, Stay, Down (as in "lie down"), and Up (like jump up onto a couch, into a car, etc.).
Wouldn't you love to have Jasper become the newest member of your family? How can you resist a face like his!!!

All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. To set up a time to meet one of our animal companions, we must first have a completed application on file.

Please note that we do not adopt animal companions out to homes that show signs of indoor smoking. Adoption fee: $125
Adoption package: All animal companions adopted out of our foundation will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines (cats: FVRCP, Rabies; dogs: DHPP, Rabies) according to age, treated for worms, fleas, and/or ear mites, and micro-chipped. Cats will be tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and cats 6+ months of age will be tested for FeLV & FIV. Animal companions will be neutered/spayed prior to or post adoption depending on his/her age.
