Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well Trained Doberman/Shepherd Mix
Duke is a young 1 1/2 year old Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Mix, with a touch of Catahoula in him. He is 50 lbs, full grown. His last owners trained him very well. He is extremely intelligent, has excellent manners, an extremely good temperament and understands all commands. He is a good watch dog and a good companion dog as he is FULL OF LOVE. He loves other dogs (big and small), children and people. But he gets very excited around cats, so I recommend a NO cat home.
Duke can sit and speak on command and also knows how to shake hands. He has been trained to only bark when he believes there to be a reason to bark or when told to “speak”. He is VERY house trained and goes out back or while on a walk. His whole body wags when you tell him "good boy". He is the type of dog that just wants to make his “people” happy. Duke was rescued him from a high - kill shelter just days before he was to be put to sleep... and he is GRATEFUL.
Duke had a rough start in life and was in and out of one animal shelter in less than a year. This was no fault of his, but he had irresponsible owners that could not afford to feed him. He has been spayed and is up to date on all shots.
All of our dogs have been rescued from Pasco County Shelter and were on death row, days, sometimes hours from euthanasia. They are living in loving foster homes to be socialized with other dogs, cats and children. They are not in shelters.
They are all up to date on shots and spayed/neutered.
The adoption fee is $100.
