My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cowboy was found in a filthy pen with green water in a tipped over bucket & no shelter for the 95 degree summer heat, save for a broken down, rotting doghouse.

Now this pauper has become a prince and living quite a different life in rescue while awaiting his forever home.

Cowboy is between 3-5 years old, of medium/light build (well ok, he has packed on some pounds while in foster care!) and has great potential.

He is high energy but not obnoxious (especially in the house). He has absolute respect for other dogs no matter their size and does well with both males & females. He is happy allowing all other dogs to be dominant & would rather run than fight back. He is known to chase cats, but it seems to be harmless. H e has come across wildlife and wants to play with his new found friends, very rare for a Cattle Dog!

Cowboys energy and herding drive makes him unsuitable around very small children. Other than some herding dog type mouthing while kissing your hand, he doesn't have any issues. Even that issue is minimal. He will probably need a little brush up on housebreaking in his new home. He IS crate trained.

He would excel in an obedience, agility or even flyball home. He would be ideal as a hiking or jogging companion & has zero interest in cars, bikes, joggers, etc. he LOVES going for jogs with his foster mom.

He has SO much love to give, loves hugs and at time is still a little "Oh hey, she actually WANTS me to give her kisses?". He is going to bond tightly with his new mom or dad and turn into the dog of a lifetime.

Cowboy is up to date on all medical needs & is neutered. He is such a super super sweet & giving boy looking for his forever person to please. Are you that lucky one?
