Meet Dexter!!! When Dexter came to us he had both kinds of mange... but that was months ago & he is now mange free! Dexter was never socialized with humans as a puppy & his biggest drawback. He is a sweet scared Chihuahua. He wants to be friends but isn't quite sure about our human intensions, but he's learning! Dexter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his doggie friends... so he ABSOLUTELY has to go to a home with other dog/s & or cats. Dexter is being crated with a foster kitten in hopes to bring him more out of his shell & have a buddy to sleep with... Because of Dexter's past... Dexter is NOT a pocket Chihuahua to carry around from place to place. Dexter is too sensitive to be a traveling Chihuahua. Dexter needs a quite home (minus that of dogs) meaning, NO CHILDREN! If you don't like to get out & walk your dog, then Dexter is the RIGHT dog for you, since I have been unable to train him on a leash... yet. Dexter isn't quite ready for his forever home just yet as we're still working thru the stated issues above... but we hope he will be rehabilitated soon.
