Winston was taken to the local animal shelter in June 2011 by a Good Samaritan.
Winston had probably been hit by a car and could not use his front legs. Winston
came to us on June 29 and we made arrangements to have his broken elbow
repaired. Because Winston had recently been groomed, we were shocked that his
owner did not claim this sweetie from the shelter.

Winston is now healed and enjoys romping with our other dogs. He's
housetrained, knows basic commands, loves to be brushed and rubbed, and
sleeps in bed with his foster parents. When you're passing out treats or making his
dinner, he will walk on his back legs and paw the air to make sure you see him.
He's a gentle, happy soul. Winston would be happy with a playmate, or as a
pampered "only child". He will not do well with children and needs a fenced yard.
Winston loves to explore and enjoys being outside. He's quiet and affectionate
and is a fun companion for an adult home. If there's room in your heart and home
for this sweet little guy, you won't be disappointed!
