Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Complete our on line application on our web site: www.potomacpekes.org We require a home visit and vet reference. We do not transport our Pekes.....
Peaches is a 4 year old Pekingese. She was an owner surrender to a local shelter. She was surrendered due to nipping a child. She will not be adopted to a family with children. She did not break the skin. More of a warning. Once she has had all her medical she will be up for adoption. She is being fostered in No. Va. Complete our on line application if you are interested in adopting Peaches. Her adoption fee is $350. We require a home visit and vet reference. She did great with getting a bath and being brushed out.
UPDATE FROM PEACHES' FOSTER MOM:She's sweet. When I come she sometimes stands on her hind legs, puts her front paws together and then paws at the air to ensure she has your attention. She loves attention, but will also lay quietly beside you or on your lap. She gives kisses. She's not afraid of any household noises. She alerts at noise from the outside, and so announces company, but warms up to them as soon as they are in the house. She does not seem interested in toys...she's rather you pet her or play with her. She gets along with other small dogs (I don't know about big dogs or cats), but is more interested in her people than her dog housemates. She has not appeared to be food aggressive. She was no problem to bath or clip the mats from between her paw pads or from behind her ears. She behaved well at the vets. She is house trained and also uses piddle pads.
