My story

Notes: Dan, lab/beagle mix, 45-50 pounds, 2-3 years old

Dan is a dignified dog, but please don't confuse this with indifference. He is a dog of great depth and one who will bond profoundly with his adopter(s). He is very handsome in an old-fashioned way, gentle, and responsive. Dan gets along very well with other dogs, and is kindly natured.

We also believe that Dan is a very old soul. If you've had a dog like this before, you'll understand what we mean. For those of you who haven't, it's something about the eyes -- you get the impression that Dan understands a great deal more than the average dog.

Dan is what you would describe as a true rescue dog. Although not abused, he has had a rough time due to humans not taking proper care of him. Please read our home page to learn more about how Dan came to need a home. click here to go to our website

As a result, we don't have a lot of details about Dan and how he is in everyday situations. However, we do know that he is an excellent dog with a sweet temperament who has impressed us with his calm and composed nature in a high-stress environment.
