Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honeymom was a beloved companion to an elderly lady in a quiet neighbourhood. Sadly, the lady went to the hospital and did not return and her family emptied the house and put it on the market -- and poor little Honeymum was homeless. Homeless and pregnant, as it turned out, so she made herself a new home in the forested ravine that ran through her neighbourhood and gave birth to five lovely kittens. All was well until the kittens were ready to learn to eat and Honeymum started to bring them to the feeding station that one of the neighbours had set up for her. Both of the yards next to the area where the kittens were living contained dogs that would kill any cat they found in their yard! It took several weeks but eventually the kittens were all captured and placed into foster care and then Honeymum was caught by the kind lady who had been feeding her. Honeymum, named for her lovely honey and caramel colouring and her sweet disposition, has gradually been learning to trust again. She loves to be petted, but is still nervous about being picked up. We expect she will get over this very quickly. In the meantime, she is getting along very well with the many other cats and kittens in her foster home and seems quite fond of the dogs. She is showing no interest in going outside and we believe she will make a wonderful indoor only companion for someone who would like a truly sweet and very pretty kitty to love.
