May I have a drum roll please…Ah hem, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Luke and I am a big….lovebucket mushball! Just look at my big brown eyes and my fluffy clean coat. My owners say that this picture doesn’t do me justice. I have quite a story to tell. My current owners restored my faith in people. My dad found me on the side of the road near a gas station some months ago. They hunted endlessly for my owners to no avail. Although I was wearing a collar, I was not sporting any tags, therefore my identity was rather elusive. Anyway, they felt so bad for me that they couldn’t help but bring me home to safety. They immediately sought out veterinary care for me and found out that I have had an injury to my front leg for quite some time. They even brought me to a specialist who said that if we tried to repair it, I might lose it. I didn’t like the sounds of that at all! At present, I use my special leg to balance myself, and I even offer it up affectionately. Mom and Dad clean and groom me and I sit patiently. Due to my injury, I will never be a hunting dog, so I have just two words for you….LOVE ME! My heroic Mom and Dad would love to keep me, but they already have 2 other Britts and a Chihuahua that reside with them. In addition, they work all day. They are broken-hearted at the prospect of giving me up, but they love me enough to try and find me the best of the best. Hello, are you out there waiting for me? Will you give me some individualized TLC and be my best friend?
Sooooooo, let me tell you how good I am. I am house broken and up to date on my shots. I obey all of the basic commands such as sit and come. This pooch is super friendly and attentive and your wish is my command. I do not beg from the dinner table and I always want to be in the same room with you. I even respect my dog siblings, their space, and their food. You will know when strangers are around because I unleash my most handsome bark. I’m such a good boy as a matter of fact, that one time I got out through the gate from our fenced yard and then proceeded to cry to get back in. You know what they say about the grass not being greener on the other side. Although I have a gimpy paw, I still love to run. I’m in great health and very happy. My owners aren’t sure how I would do on long walks on a leash, but I certainly am a pleaser. Do you have room in your home and heart for me?
