Betsey is a Shih Tzu. She is Black and White. Betsey is 6 Months old and was born April 29th 2011. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 12 lbs.
Betsey is a happy joyful little girl! She was born here in the rescue after his mom was brought to the rescue pregnant with her owner no longer able to keep her. Betsey is full of fun and love to whoever is with her. She loves to give kisses and whenever your sitting down that means it's time to give more kisses because she knows that how she shows that she loves you. She loves to play with Ellie Mae and they run around the house with their little toys and tucker each other out. When it's time to settle down and watch a movie she loves to be right beside you or up on the top of the couch with Ellie curled up in a ball napping. She plays with dogs of all sizes and especially loves her foster sister Lilly who bounces around and just wants Betsey to catch her. Betsey would be a great therapy dog once she is trained. She already can give paw, although most of the time she wants to give you paw to your foot but sometimes will give paw to your hand. It seems like she has a smile on her face every time you walk into the room. She is so happy to be around anyone who will give her any attention. She just wants to be there to be your companion and to give you someone to love. Betsey would make a great companion to anyone who wants to give love and get twice back in return!
Betsey would do well in any household. She loves adults, kids, other dogs, and cats. Betsey would do well in either a home with or without a dog, she'd love the company especially if her sister came with her but is very content being the center of your attention too! Betsey is completely puppy pad trained and is slowly being trained to potty outside. We would recommended a harness when walking her because of her small frame and since she sometimes feels the leash is more of a toy that anything. She does very well in the car either on your lap, on the back seat or even in a crate. She has grown up around all sizes and ages of dogs and plays with dogs ranging from 10 to 85 pounds. She can be trusted alone wandering in the house and never gets into anything, except an occasional sock that she may find. She loves toys and treats and any blanket she can make a nest in. Betsey is full of love to give and wants a family of her own to give it to.
Betsey is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $650 Adoption Fee for Betsey. Which includes Three Booster (Parvo/Distemper) Shots, Three Sets of Worming, Three Vet Check Up's, Flea/Tick Prevention, and her spay.
