Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malachi is an young merlequin male, approximately 10 months old, with beautiful blue eyes and natural ears. He’s a big boy, quite calm for his age, and very, very affectionate. He is great with cats and other dogs. He is also very good with kids, but he does like to mouth, so will need to be placed with older, Dane-savvy kids. He is housebroken, he knows his basic manners, and he is learning how to walk on a leash like a gentleman. Malachi is looking for an active family, preferably with children and/or other dogs to play with.
Update 3/10/12 - Malachi has moved to a new foster home, and received a terrific first report. He is doing great with his new sister, Sundae, as well as the resident cats. He was a little unsure of himself at first, but has rebounded nicely. Here's what his new foster mom had to say: "Malachi is the easiest dog I have ever fostered! He should have been adopted months ago! I walked him down the lane this morning, at heel. No trouble. He is now brave enough to go out on his own into the yard in the morning, before Sundae gets up (she is a late riser), and returns with no trouble after a few minutes. He goes back to bed with Sundae, provided I haven't gone upstairs to my office. He appears to have no major vices!"
