Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE: We are in love, love, love with this dog! She is just a perfect, funny, gregarious little girl. She looooves other dogs, adooooores children and just is generally a happy-go-lucky baby.
This is our poor pretty Polly. Polly is a 20 lb., one year old Dachshund/Beagle mix that found herself in the worst situation possilbe...at a high-kill animal shelter. She didn't stand much of a chance in there...she was so very thin and so very scared, and with precious few interested adopters at this shelter, she was looking at a sad end to her short life. But, we all saw something in Polly that begged for her to be saved, so we got her out of there and whisked her right to the vet. Unfortunately, that scary shelter holds more dangers than just the needle...poor Polly had been infected with Distemper. She was an extremely sick little girl for quite a while, but we just couldn't give up on her. And Polly rewarded us for our efforts by pulling through! Now, Distemper can oftentimes effect the neurological system of the dog and poor Polly has been left with a muscle twitch on her head. It kind of looks like her eyebrows are going up and down ever so slightly, and sometimes, her little mouth twitches as well. She is not the least bit bothered by this and it is not at all unsightly to look at. Frankly, it makes her even more endearing...a reminder of what she has been through and what a survivor this little girl is. She is now a happy, playful girl that is finally enjoying the puppyhood she probably never had. She loves her dog friends in her foster home, enjoys the company of children, doesn't worry about the cats and adores her toys. She is completely cratetrained and has done superb with her housetraining.
Polly looks like a little bit of Dapple Dachshund with some Beagle coloring and features. She's as cute as a bug's ear and is looking for a family that can see past her imperfection to the beautiful girl that she is. Could this be you? If so, please contact us at the e-mail link provided below and we will e-mail you an application.
