Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Travis is a Very special German Shepherd 2-3 y.o. male for a special home.
I rescued him from death-row in Devore shelter in San Bernardino. The dog caught kennel cough while in there which went untreated
and that turned into a bad pneumonia. This magnificent creature was on the verge of being put down. After a last minute rescue and expensive ER treatments Travis, the GSD is now back on his feet and is full of life and energy. He is now looking for his 4Ever home after all he went thru.
He is a classic GSD with classic GSD temperament, a total K-9, Super Dog! Not your ordinary family pet, so if you have a large family and small children this is not the dog for you, not your backyard guard dog either. He loves attention!
Travis ignores cats and barking dogs, he is good with other dogs when properly introduced. He needs a strong and experienced handler as he possesses a quite strong personality. He is extremely clever, athletic, very protective and most determined dog I have yet met. He is alert at all times and he will block you with his body when stranger approaches. He is cautious and protective but not aggressive.
His physical abilities are Very impressive. He can get from point A to point B in a split second and this dog CAN JUMP, so proper fencing is a must. He would make a great working dog, shutzhund or agility.
If you own a property with a yard and would like to meet Travis and have time to put this boy to work, I woul d like to hear from you.
Adoption application/agreement and $150 rescue donation applies.
