Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
November 6, 2011 - Fat Boy is a sweetheart and get's along with other dogs, but he has shown signs of displaced agression towards other dogs. He will need a strong leader to work with him to refocus his attention. Fat boy is a little intimidated by loud noises inside and outside of the house. He doesn't like to go into his crate but once he is in he is well behaved, so his foster mom will be working with him on positive crate training methods. Please check back soon as we get to know this handsome boy a little better. October 23, 2011 Fatboy is AWESOME!!!! Why someone would give up a dog this lovable is beyond me. He gets along with our other male dog without a problem. He is completely house trained and a bit of a ham....he loves to make puppy eyes at you when you pat him. He is a little intimidated by loud noise inside and outside of the house. He doesn't like to go into his crate but once he is in he is well behaved. He took to the feeding schedule without an issue (previous owner free fed him). He allowed us to clean his ears and even laid down while let us trim his nails with almost no resistance. He knows basic commands and follows your instructions very well. Fatboy is a great dog and any home will brighten with his presence. September 18, 2011 Meet Fatboy! This handsome boy is 3 years old and very sweet. He is coming into the program because he is not getting along with the other male dog in the house. Fatboy did get along with this dog for 7 months, but they have recently started fighting to the point where they need to be separated. We suspect since the other dog is not neutered, this could be the cause of the problem. Fatboy also lives with 2 female dogs and gets along with them fine. He lives with young children and is great with them. He knows his basic commands, is crate trained and loves to ride in cars. Although Fatboy is crate trained, he will do fine if given free roam in the house. Fatboy is named after the Harley Davidson motorcycle. He’s a big boy but not fat! We will be looking to place him in a home with either a female dog or no dogs. Fatboy has no history with cats and his currents owners have no idea how he would react to a cat. Please contact info@theboxerrescue.org if interested in Fat Boy!
