Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Epic is a great looking and working German Shepherd; between 70 – 75 pounds. He is full of energy, desire to learn and does everything at top speed. He has a basic command of obedience (sit, down, leave it, off) and is great walking on a leash. He is good with other dogs both while on leash during walks and around his foster home with other dogs in the house. He is respectful to more dominate dogs; yet will play bow to ask them to chase him. He is very intelligent, extremely alert and attentive to everything that is going on in and out of the house. He has been great with everyone he has met including children running up to him. He is loveable and goofy with his people wanting to be pet, rubbed and rolling around on the floor with all four feet up in the air. He is comfortable going in a crate to sleep; yet would prefer to sleep free in the house so he can ensure that everything is okay throughout the night and is not destructive. Epic has a lot of energy and will gravitate toward a leader who works with him and gives him a job whether that be as a hiking or running partner, doing agility or some other dog sport competition. His drive is wonderful; yet people who have never been around a true working, high-drive dog can’t believe his speed, intensity and never stop attitude on life; thus it will be better if his new family has had experience with other working, high-drive GSDs or breeds. He likes to stay busy with his ball or toy and will do anything for it to be thrown. He cannot be in a home with cats. He does well with kids, but due to his energy and focus we would prefer a home without small children. Epic is beautiful, with a dark mask, straight back and tight build. This dog is an amazing prize, the complete package, a rare and wonderful being. If you are interested in meeting this dog and providing a loving, intellectually stimulating AND forever home, please complete an adoption application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. All dogs are altered, UTD on shots and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
