Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Hanna! I’m a 9 year old smooth black and tan dachshund looking for a new forever home because my previous family fell on hard times and lost our home. I used to live with 3 other dachshunds, and I need at least one other friendly doggie in my new forever home. I like to chase cats though, so I should be in a home without cats.
Everyone who meets me says I’m a very sweet girl, and I like to give kisses! I’m currently on a diet, because I need to lose a few pounds, and will need a forever family that will help me to continue to lose and then maintain a healthy weight. The vet says I have hypothyroidism, so I’m now taking an inexpensive medication to get my thyroid back under control. That should help with my weight loss, and I already have more energy!
Note from Hanna’s foster mom: Hanna is a very affectionate, well behaved, housetrained dog. She loves to cuddle with her people in the recliner at night. She's generally good with other dogs, but wary around the big guys (she lives with bassets and they tend to be 'in-your-face' dogs which can be obnoxious) until she gets to know them. She needs at least one other dog for companionship and is not the pack leader. She is used to sleeping on a dog bed at night but barks for several minutes when I first close the door to the dog room (all the others are crated in the same room). She has been extremely reliable with her potty habits so I feel she can be trusted when left loose. The only bad thing we can say about Hanna is that if any kind of treats (doggie or human ones like potato chips) are anywhere near her reach, she will sneak and grab them. She will also sneak into the trash if given a chance. Other than those two minor things, Hanna is a great dog!
Hanna’s adoption fee is $150, and she is in a foster home in West Grove, PA. Like all Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue dogs, I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on heartworm preventative. To find out more about her, please contact my CCDR representative at marcey789@yahoo.com.
