Update 10/27/11: Say hello to little AnnaBelle!
AnnaBelle is a cute little thing! She is approx. 1 year old and around 12lbs. Volunteers rescued her from a local kill shelter and she is currently in a foster home until she finds someone to adopt her.
AnnaBelle is energetic and LOVES to play with toys. Toys she can chew (rope toys) are her favorite; however she loves to run around with little stuffed animals as well.
AnnaBelle gets along with other dogs; however she does seem to prefer to lead the pack.
AnnaBelle loves to give kisses and be pet. She is okay on a leash, but does a lot of zig-zagging. She could use a little training on the leash.
AnnaBelle has not been tested with cats or kids; however we anticipate she would do fine with both. She does not like riding in the car (gets very anxious), so no cross country vacations for this girl!

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we
do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We try to make our adoption process as
easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit
www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
