Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Suzie was dropped off by her family at a shelter and her future wasn’t too bright. She was in rough shape suffering from flea allergy dermatitis. Imagine being bitten over and over by the pesky things with no relief! A compassionate volunteer at the shelter contacted Pug Rescue of Florida (PROof) because in her condition Suzie would have surely been euthanized.
Our network of volunteers worked together to transport her to her foster home and then to our rescue vet for treatment. She had a severe bacterial infection with open sores in the typical areas a doggie can reach to scratch. She is on the mend and doing great now! She is a “silver” variety of fawn which makes her appear older than her 6 years. At 17 pounds she is the perfect size, not too big, not too small! She is 100% potty trained, spayed and now up to date on all her shots.
She loves people and gets along with most of the pugs at “the ranch”. Suzie wants to be the queen bee wherever she goes! She’d do well as an only dog or with a non-alpha boy or girl buddy. She is currently being fostered in Tampa but would be happy to change her zip code. Her adoption fee is only $225! If you love me but can’t adopt me, please send a donation to help my other foster brothers and sisters. Any amount is appreciated!!! Complete an adoption application here.
