Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m the coolest girl Puggle pup around. I love toys and food in any order and sometimes together. I lived with a nice family that really didn’t understand my needs, so they did what was best for me and surrendered me to rescue. Here I know they will find the right people that will have the time, discipline and patience for me.
My story is a familiar one here at rescue; somebody bred a pug and a beagle to make me and sold me to a store where I spent my early months in a cage. There I must have been really bored so I entertained myself by adopting some bad habits. The people that bought me had a Frenchie. Maybe when I was little my pestering was cute and bad habits ignored, but as I grew older my Frenchie buddy and I didn’t get along. Still at 14 months I haven’t received the kind of attention I’ve needed.
The good news is I am so trainable and willing to do whatever you want esp. if there’s food or a tennis ball. I love the tennis ball so much it is how I get rewarded when I do the right things. I like my pug pals but I might need a buddy that can keep up with me and wants to wrestle/tussle – puggle, Beagle, Boxer, perhaps but little short dogs maybe too delicate for my tastes.
Now that I am getting the socialization I’ve been missing, I will grow more secure and be able to adjust to the outside world better. But where there’s a tennis ball there is hope. I love car rides, toys to chew and to tear apart, snuggling and sleeping in bed with my people. Right now a crate is kinda upsetting but now that I get fed in one, I am starting to love what the crate can supply. It’s only been 3 days in my foster home but I am ruling the house and kicking some puggle & Bug (boston terrier/pug-mix) butt. I’d do best with males since I need to boss them around. Someone that stays at home, wants to do flyball, and needs lots of kisses and a soft muzzle to curl up to is what I’m looking for.
