Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Carmen and I would like to speak with you about possibly making room for me in your heart. I am a little girl and I don't take up much room at all and I love to sit in laps!
I was living with a couple who didn't take care of me at all, just let me run the streets and didn't let me come in the house much. I didn't have a bed to sleep in, just a cold porch step. There were two other friends I had at that house and the three of us tried our best to take care of each other. Everyday we went to other houses and dug in their trash to find something to eat. One day, the animal control truck came and gave my owners a ticket. This made them really angry so they grabbed me up by my neck and threw me at them. They took me in the back of the truck to a place I heard was a pound. They took my two friends there too. I got regular food and was treated nicely but I heard from some of the older dogs there that we couldn't stay long. We either had to find a new home or be PUT TO SLEEP. I didn't know what that really meant but the old dogs looked worried when they talked about it.
One day I heard them whispering in the next kennel that I had been there too long. I still didn't know what that meant but the old dogs were really worried. Then this lady came in that looked like she was a "dog woman" and I thought I could smell other dogs on her when she walked by. Yes, I breathed deeply and smelled that she alredy had a chihuahua, plott hounds, shih-tsu, and lots of other breeds I wasn't sure of. She stopped by my cage and smiled and I batted my eyes at her. She took me home with her and I feel so safe and loved. I know there are other dogs here and they say it's a home before a forever home. I don't know what that means either but I need to find some forever people to love! If that's you, and you would like a sweet but sassy little girl to sit in your lap, then make sure you call us up. I will be glad to interview you!
Thanks,
Carmen
