My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update10/21/11: Give a warm welcome to Sandee!

Sandee is a very sweet girl who came to us with her 4 babies. She is a great mom! We believe Sandee is a 1 year old Dachshund-mix. She weighs approximately 26 pounds, but is a little thin right now.

Sandee gets along with other dogs, although protective of her pups when they approach. Sandee is looking for a home of her very own. She is working on her housebreaking routine and getting better everyday. With a regular routine she will do fine.

Sandee is not destructive and loves attention, but does well when left alone. What a gorgeous sweetheart she is.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this dog? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
