Age: 1 year
Weight: 10 lbs
Waldo is a 1 yr old, 10 lb poodle mix. Mixed in with his white coat are apricot highlights. Waldo was found without any tags or a microchip by a good samaritan. He was registered as lost with the Austin shelter, flyers were posted throughout the area he was found, and ads were posted on craigstlist, but his owner never came forward to reclaim him. Although he appeared to have been groomed somewhat well, he was still covered in fleas. Walter is a happy active guy who is incredibly thankful to be inside a home. We assume that he was on the streets scavenging for food for awhile because he eats like it's his last meal. Waldo gets along well with the other small dogs in his house, but he did not care for larger dogs that he's met while out and about. Waldo is fostered in a home with a 15 mo old child and does well, but his foster parents feel he would be better suited for older children who know how to give him his space. Waldo has picked up on housetraining very quickly, and his is cratetrained for when his parents leave the house for work. Waldo does like to talk (aka hound howl) to his people, usually when he's happy. Waldo would greatly benefit from basic obedience training with his adoptive family. He is a very smart little guy, and he learns very quickly. He also like his downtime on the couch with people and enjoys a warm lap and back scratches.
Adoption fee is $200.
