Shawnee is an adorable young lady whom we rescued from the gas chamber in an overcrowded rural shelter. She definitely deserved it: everybody who met her loved her, the shelter staff, the vet's office and the volunteers. Shawnee is happy, playful, energetic and eager to please. She loves people and attention: as the photo shows, she will roll on her back to have her tummy rubbed. She is a leaner and loves attention. Shawnee is a good girl, she does well in the crate, especially since her meals are served there and meal time is happy time. She does not have accidents in her foster home and is pretty good with basic commands. Shawnee is in great shape: she has a gorgeous, shiny black coat with white tips on the tip of her tail and toes and a white medallion on her chest. Shawnee weighs around 50lbs, and this is a good weight for her. Shawnee is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on shots and ready and eager to meet her new family.
It is our policy not to place our dogs into homes with young children since we don't have foster homes with young children to evaluate the dogs. The adoption begins with the adoption application: we do not have the manpower to respond to detailed inquiries before we receive the application. Our adoption procedures are described on the home page, please read them carefully. A donation of $275 is required at the time of adoption. If you can offer our sweet young lady Shawnee a loving forever home, please submit an on-line application by
