Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Billy (male) URGENT! JACK RUSSELL MIX... YOUNG!
Hello! My name is Billy, I am probably not much more than 1 year old. It took me almost 2 weeks of walking with this lady and her dogs, before the lady taking care of me took me in. I met her in her driveway every morning as she went out to walk her dogs. She has 4. That is why she can’t keep me and is trying really hard to find me a home with lots of love. She found out that 2 families in less than a year, both moved and left me behind to fend for myself. You can see I am not that big, I’m probably a Dachshund mix, I should weigh about 15lbs. I am very friendly to people and other dogs. I am housetrained, I am not food aggressive, but I like someone to sit with me while I eat. When I first meet you I won’t take food from you at first, I am shy about that. I probably would be better with children at least 5 years old though, because I like to jump on you when you come home and to tell you good morning. I love to play fetch with the ball. I love to lay down next to you whenever you are sitting or laying down. I have been sleeping at night in bed and I love being under the pillow you sleep on or curled up next to your tummy under the covers. I am very polite. I wait to come in the house until you ask me. I am not neutered, nor does the lady know anything about my shots. She is checking on what to do about the shots and heartworm test. I can jump pretty high though, that is one thing I don’t wait to be told what to do. There is this baby gate in the house and I haven’t learned that it means I am not suppose to be on the other side of it. Please give me a chance! I am a very loving, friendly little boy. Please contact Vicki at 318-746-8152 or call or text 318-617-5518.
There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home. Once you adopt me, PLEASE get me spayed/neutered to help control the HUGE overpopulation and euthanasia rate in this area. Robinson’s Rescue low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Shreveport) offers special low-cost pricing for spaying and neutering. Call 318-861-0101 for your spay/neuter appointment ONLY, not about me! Also, be sure to keep me on a monthly heartworm preventive. Dogs get heartworms from mosquitoes and the only way to protect me is with a monthly preventive that you get from your vet!
