My story

Meet DUKE! Duke is a 4 year old purebred Great Dane. Duke has spent much of his life on a chain, and was new to the whole idea of living in a house with other animals, but this boy sure did pick up quick. Duke is a love sponge...you can tell he has spent way too much time without human contact, because he just can't get enough. He loves to give the classic "Dane head hug" where they nearly flip upside down, pressing their heads tightly into you. He is pretty convinced he's a lap dog too (as are most Danes)...nothing makes him happier than to have as much of his body touching someone as possible. Duke has rolled with all these new changes better than most, and responds quickly to new training and house structures. He has completed his heartworm treatment and is on restricted activity for a few weeks, but as long as his adoptive home is willing to keep him on leash walks only for just a wee bit longer, he can go to his forever home! This boy is just awesome, awesome, awesome...he LOVES his two foster sisters, loves people of all shapes and sizes, and he's just a good darn dog. He'd be a great fit for a first time Dane owner or someone needing an "easy" dog...this boy just rolls right along with the punches! Apply today and give this handsome dude a forever home!
