My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samoyed. 40 pounds.

Foxy - is a 2 year old spayed female that came to DSR with 2 other females from a commercial breeder getting out of the business.  Her coat was shaved down before she arrived but it is growing back very nicely. She is current on shots and microchipped.  She is NOT housebroken and has very little social/human interaction skills.  She is very, very shy.  She wants to trust, but is still leery of the consequences.  She is making baby steps of progress daily.  She will require significant patience and consistency.  She does well with other dogs and the ideal home would have a confident companion for her to learn the ropes from.  She does not currently walk on a leash but that is also a work in progress. 

!!10/19/11 UPDATE!! - Foxy is becoming more comfortable taking treats from your hand and walking on a leash. We have great confidence she will overcome her shyness in time. We are very proud of our little girl!
