Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2-16-07 Just wanted to write a little update on Fawny-Fu-Fu:) She has started to put on some weight and is now upto 50lbs. She is still in need of gaining a few more but is doing great at it! She has now been spayed and is current on all her vaccines. We actually go tomorrow to have her stiches removed. She started her heart wormm treatment and will need to be seen again for her next step in the treatment on 03/05/07 she is doing well and having no complcations. The biggest issue is she does not want to be crated and will become upset while in the crate. So after discussing this with the vet we feel it is best to allow her access to the house during the day to interact some with the other furry kids here as even though she does get a little excited while with them it is not nearly as hard on her as when she is in the crate. She is doing better in the house with her pottying! I would not say at a 100% yet but close to it. She has a couple times in the night had an accident in her crate but we really think that is due to just being upset from being crated. So we are hopeful that now with allowing her more free roam in the house to interact some with the other dogs and people she will stop doing that in the crate and so far today she has not had any accidents in the crate when put back in. This will just take some patience as far as teaching her. Like I had said before this poor girl was chained outside most her life with no attention this is still all new to her. If you can look past these little issues that she is having now I gurantee the love that this girl gives to you will outweigh it all and it will improve! 2-4-07 Fawn is a very loving girl full of Lots of energy! She is still needing to be spayed and also receive her heart worm treatment. We were just putting this off to let her gain some weight and get rid of those nasty worms. She is actually ready to get spayed and start HW treatment within the next couple of days pending a vet appointment. She has yet to meet a stranger and seems to love every dog that she meets. She may be best in a home without cats or a dog savvy cat only because she likes to play chase the kitty quite a bit. We are trying to teach her not to do this and I am confident with persistence and time she will learn. She has had a couple pee accidents in the house and her crate during the night but overall is doing Great for a girl who was previously kept chained outside. She is waiting for her special family to come and take her home..........Could it be yours? 1-24-07 We saved Fawn yesterday from death row. They thought that she had a UTI and little did the shelter know she was going into heat!! So in the pictures as you can see she is sporting her cute little undies with a wiggly nub sticking out!! We will know more about her personality in the next few days, when we get to know her. If interested in adopting please fill out an application at www.blueridgeboxerrescue.com/adoptionapplication.html. We ONLY adopt to NC, SC and some areas of VA.
