Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Linden: 8 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb.
It's obvious from the number tattooed in Linden's right ear that he was a puppy mill guy at one time in his life but eventually found his way to a home and adjusted very well to being a house dog and member of a family. Unfortunately, due to economic circumstances, they had to give him up and Linden now finds himself in rescue looking for another family to call his own. I can't say enough good things about this guy. He's calm, quiet and very well mannered, playful when you instigate it, is a great snuggle partner but isn't super clingy, doesn't jump up on people and isn't into chewing or destroying things. He does well with other dogs and cats but when the dogs play with the cats, Linden gets caught up in the excitement and nips at the cats and tries dragging them around by their tails. If you have a cat, don't let this deter you from considering adopting him. He's just not sure how to play with them and a new family could work with him on this. Linden kennels up nicely and keeps it clean but would rather sleep in bed with you under the covers like he did with his previous family. He's good with my teenage son and his friends and I'm sure he would do well with younger kids too but not sure about toddlers who like to poke and prod with little fingers and would want to pick him up. If his new home does not have a fenced yard, he'll need to be taken out on leash or put on a tie out. He's not a big barker so he would do really well in an apartment situation.
Note: Linden is located in Delano, MN - and we will not fly this boy.
