Holly & her 2 brothers were found wandering the streets of Sacramento, along with their mom. When we tried to capture them, Holly was the first to come right into our arms. She is the epitome of sweetness and gentleness.
Holly is about 1 year old and weighs around 20 lbs. She housetrained and crate-trained. She is a quiet, mellow, and unassuming dog. She enjoys her walks but is not at all high energy. She loves best to be in the company of people but is never demanding or in your face. Holly gives gentle licks and loves flopping over for belly rubs. She will quietly follow you around the house and is content to crash on the couch or snuggle beside you in bed.
Holly is fine with other dogs, big and small, but doesn't interact with them very much.. She is not that playful and of the 8 dogs she has stayed with, including her 2 brothers of her same size, the only dog she ever played with was a 7-lb chihuahua foster. Even then, she only played in short bursts, so we think she is more of a people dog and not a dog dog. She also likes to grab onto a stuffed animal and shake the life out of it, growling the entire time. It's hilarious to see this side of her because otherwise she is so docile and lady-like. Holly has lived also with cats and has spent a little time with an 8-year old boy.

Holly is currently being fostered in ANTIOCH so please be willing and able to meet her there. Please send an email to request an adoption application if you are interested in meeting or adopting her. There is a $275 tax-deductible adoption fee which helps to pay for all of our rescued dogs' medical expenses. Holly is spayed, microchipped, current on shots, and heartworm tested negative. A homecheck will also be required to ensure that she goes to an environment best suited to her.
