Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cupcake will be spayed on February 19th and ready to go shortly thereafter.
She’s a very lively, vivacious, active girl who is about 2 years old. She came to us from a shelter where she spent two weeks nursing a broken pelvis, and has been here in NJ recuperating ever since. Her strength and will are amazing, and she made a wonderful and total recovery – she just needs an exercise program to build her muscles up again.
She has impeccable house manners, and enjoys her time on the couch (now that she’s allowed to use her hind legs to get up on it!). She is an absolute delight to spend time with and she LOVES to play. Because we have no history on her and because she is a big, powerful girl, I won’t place her with small children. She is also “mouthy” – grabbing her leash when she’s on her conditioning walks (she’s up to a mile a day now, and perfectly sound at the walk, though she still needs some rehab at the trot), snatching my gloves (which are especially desirable when my hands are in them), and she loves her “drive-bys” where she races past and leaps up against me or tries to snatch my feet out from under me. There isn’t a hint of malice in her, and she actually behaves much like the young dogs in my own household, but it could be intimidating for someone unaccustomed to her power and speed. Personally? I love it, and if she hadn’t been injured, she would have made an awesome agility dog, and still shows excellent potential for the obedience ring. She is very food motivated and learns quickly, and is incredibly gentle when she takes a treat – nothing but lip! You could give her a tiny M&M from your lips and hardly feel her brush you. Of course, this is the same girl who does her best to knock me flat and gnaw on my limbs when we’re outside!
She will also guard your home, looking quite fierce and intimidating, though she immediately settles down when given a treat, and has become a favorite of all the workmen here during our home renovation. She loves the attention, and they all love her attitude. She’s loaded with personality. Like my own girl Beep, her hair goes up when she’s excited, so she looks far more menacing than she really is – at heart, she’s a marshmallow, but she does play the part of a guard dog quite effectively!
She’s healthy, up to date, and ready to go to her forever home. She will most likely do OK with a large male dog after a proper introduction (based on her very mild reaction to being charged by two of my neighbor’s dogs when out for a walk). She has not had an opportunity to meet any of my dogs since everyone here is very much on edge due to the construction and I’m not going to take a chance at anyone having a bad experience. No children, or cats or other small animals, please. A fenced yard is an absolute must for this girl; no invisible fence.
If we didn’t have 9 of our own already, there’s no chance Cupcake would ever leave here. We adore her.
