My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Perry is a 4 year old black and tan dapple smooth male dachshund. He was found as a stray, and a Good Samaritan kept him for quite some time, trying to find his owner with no success. Finally, she contacted our organization for assistance with Perry. Perry is a delightfully sweet but shy fellow, who loves to sit quietly next to you while you read or relax. He would enjoy daily walks and the companionship of another dog in the home.

Perry's foster family is having a fun time with him. They tell us that Perry recently had a bath, and he accepted the attention quite well. He now interacts and plays with their cat, so he could definitely go to a home with cats.

And Perry is housetrained!!! He hasn't had a single accident since arriving in their home, and uses the doggie door freely. Of course, his routine and good housetraining habits must be continued and reinforced in his forever home.

Perry loves to cuddle with people on the couch, and enjoys playing in his foster family's back yard. He often sits near the front door of their home, hoping for a walk, so he would love a home where a daily walk is part of the routine.

Perry has been neutered, brought up to date on all immunizations, had a dental cleaning and has been microchipped for permanent identification. He was in overall good health when he came to us, thankfully.
