My story

Meet Dalton! He is 8 months old, neutered, up to date with all of his shots and microchipped. He is weighs 9 lbs and is full grown.

Dalton was surrendered by the only family he has ever known because of landlord issues.

While at the vet to get neutered, it was found that his back leg had been broken in an old injury. The bones had fused together incorrectly and his back leg needed to be amputated.

Dalton is now a happy tri-paw'd. Fortunately for him, he had a very short adjustment period since he had already been using only one back leg for quite a while anyway.

Dalton is working on his housebreaking with his foster parents. They are giving him slow, long walks after he eats as much as possible to encourage him to relieve himself outside and to build up his back leg muscles.

Dalton likes to play and gets along well with other dogs. He is very sweet and would thrive with TLC and daily strengthening of his leg.
