Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mo was adopted today! Way to go, Mo!
Mo the Morkie is a sweet dog who is in need of some tender loving care. He is almost a year old & has spent his life predominantly in a kennel. He is a friendly & social dog, but he's spending time currently in his kennel getting acclimated to a new life of leisure & fun rather than romping & playing with his foster sister & brother. Mo is indifferent so far with other dogs as well as with cats. We think he will become more engaged with his 4-legged friends once he figures out that his life has changed for the better.
This beautiful boy is a Maltese / Yorkie mix. Mo has white silky hair with butterscotch coloring on his ears. He weighs about 8 lbs and is full grown. Mo is housetrained & crate trained, probably a little too crate trained. His first owners bought him from a breeder. Upon moving, they decided they didn't want to pay another pet deposit. For Mo, this decision is ushering in his happily ever after. Since he moved in with his foster family, he's had a much-needed haircut, a bath, and a paw-dicure (nail trim). It seems the neglect went beyond the excessive time spent in a crate daily to include not keeping him groomed.
And that's how Mo became adoptable. His current insecurities are nothing abnormal for a it's nothing that time & patience won't fix.
Mo is neutered & current on his vaccinations. He is being tested for heartworms this week (9/12/11). We'll update the status as soon as the vet gets us the results.

Adoption fee is $90. Thank you for wanting to share your home with one of our rescued pups!
If you are a parent adopting for your children, please remember we do pick the best home for our pups. If there are 2 applications that come in at the same time, for example, and one will be a better fit, that is the one we choose. Many parents pump up their children about getting a specific puppy, and it can be very sad for the child if the particular puppy isn't a good fit unbeknownst to them. We put this disclaimer here because a couple of parents have been upset when a home that used doggy daycare & had a fenced in yard was chosen over crate-all-day without a backyard. Peace.
