My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Douglas was rescued by Tender Hearts Animal Relief Society from a Georgia animal shelter in an area that was badly hit by tornados this spring. He was one of the many displaced animals found wandering the streets after the storms. He sat quietly and patiently for a very long time at the shelter, just hoping and waiting for someone to help him. And finally, at the last minute ....... someone did! So Douglas is now patiently awaiting his forever home. Douglas is a sweet, playful, affectionate, and quiet dog. (In fact, he hardly ever barks. In light of some of the more vocal doggies here, this is a trait that is very much appreciated!) Douglas is 2 years old, has been neutered, has had all his shots, and is on heartworm prevention. And due to the fact that Dougie is not very fond of cats, and since there are five cats on the premises, the director of THARS is waiving Douglas' adoption fee! :-) Help with transportation is also available. Douglas is a big teddy bear, and would love nothing more than a loving lap to climb up on to!
