Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Count Chocula! I am a very handsome guy with fur the color of milk chocolate. That’s how I got my funny name! I am a young, active and very intelligent rabbit who would enjoy a home where I had some room to roam and explore. I have been adopted out once, but unfortunately before too long my adopters decided they probably could not afford vet care – even regular yearly check ups which all bunnies need! So now I am back in foster care again. Even though I love my fosterers I really enjoyed the special attention I got from my former adopters and would love to be adopted for real this time!!
I have been neutered and am very good with my litter box. In fact, I could be described as excellent! I am interested in many different kinds of toys – cardboard boxes, which I like to gently chew, toss toys (from the way I throw I could have been a major league pitcher!), wooden chew toys, and willow balls. However, one thing you should know is that I am a little possessive of my things. I don’t like to have them rearranged or I will grunt at you!! I’m not mean though, it’s just my way of communicating, and actually my foster mom just thinks I’m kinda’ funny when I do this!
I’m not too shy, and I like most people a lot. I would like a home with adults. I'm not sure I would be good with kids because of my gruntiness - I might scare them even though I don't mean to! I’m an active and happy guy and I would like a home where I got lots of attention and there were things to keep me busy.
And now, a message from Huntsville Friends of Rabbits:
For more information on our group please go to: www.huntsvillefriendsofrabbits.com
Our adoption policies:
The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the considerable costs of spay/neuter, other veterinary expenses, food, and equipment. All of our rabbits have received a full vet check up and are spayed/neutered. We adopt only to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children, dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis.
If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies! Please email us at huntsvillebunnies@hotmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, including why you would like a bunny and your previous experience with rabbits (if any). Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption.
Please note we are a little picky – we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit. We adopt only within a five hour drive of Huntsville, AL.
