Cheyenne is a spayed female who was born in June, 2006. She is about 45 lbs, black medium length coat, Elkhound/Lab mix.
Like many dogs in rescue Cheyenne has a sad story to tell. She was seized along with 5 other dogs from her previous owner's home due to unfit living conditions. Sadly all the dogs were in pretty poor shape. Most were underweight, full of fleas and had intestinal parasites. But with the right medication and a good diet Cheyenne looks great and is ready for a new home and a better life.
Cheyenne has a great personality, is good with other dogs, will playfully chase some cats and is good with kids. Cheyenne listens well, loves to go for walks and car rides. She is house-trained and will alert bark if someone is outside or at the door. So if you're looking for an active well behaved dog, Cheyenne could be the one for you.
