My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is a handsome, smart boy with a laid-back personality. He is really a great dog that would do well in a variety of homes. He likes to go for walks and car rides, but he is also perfectly content hanging out at home and playing in the yard. He was rescued from the Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation, and he is about 1.5 years old. He is a great size at about 58 lbs - not too big, not too small! Jake was picked up as a stray and was crafty enough to escape from the police kennel. However, he realized he could get food there, so he came back! When his owners were notified they refused to pay the fine, so now he gets a chance to have a wonderful new home. Their loss because he is a happy, loving boy! He gets along well with dogs, cats and small children. Jake is house-broken and crate trained. He is only about a year old and he is about 55 lbs. The dogs out on the Indian Reservation come from many generations of mixed breeds. They are healthy, smart dogs. Jake loves to be around people and he deserves a good home where he will get plenty of attention! He is so excited when you come home that he will jump all over you and he also isn't above sneaking goodies of the kitchen counter. Those are the worst of his habits though.
