Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chip is a striking Aussie/English Setter. He is 8 months old. Everyone that meets him falls in love! He is a real head-turner as well, with his unusual looks. He loves to be by your side and he has a gentle, sweet nature.
I rescued Chip from a Northern GA shelter that has a very high euthanasia rate. A very frightening situation to find yourself in if you are a great dog like Chip.
Chip had lived with a family at some point, and why he was abandonded I do not know. He is a very special and loving boy. He is always up for a good time, which is why his nackname is "Party Boy" He is an absolute fiend for swimming, and he loves to play ball and frisbee...and can run like a Greyhound ! A speeding bullet! I love watching this boy move, he is just gorgeous to watch. He is a very playful dog, Probably alittle too playful for small dogs unless they are tough! Dogs more his size would be perfect.
He is high energy, but not over the top. I think he would make the perfect companion dog for most anyone including families. He uses his crate very nicely, though he is not destructive in the house at all, so it is not necessary here. At night he loves to lay by your side and is very calm and quiet all night.
Chip would make an excellent travel companion and boat dog ! He loves loves loves water! He seems to be a boy that is always up for an adventure and has the most wonderful happy face except when he is puzzled about something! At those times he cocks his lovely head to inquire what you want him to do. Very eager to please. Very smart and learns things very quickly. Chip would make an excellent candidate for Agility or any Dog sport. He loves everything and everybody! Chip weighs 37 lbs and he has the softest and most silky fur ! Just a wonderful boy!
This boy is a once in a lifetime dog for the right person or family.
If you feel you can offer him the very best forever home please let me know!
Chip's adoption fee is $175
