Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dash is a stunning 8 month old Purebred Red-Tri Standard Australian Shepherd. I rescued this big boy from a Northern GA shelter that has so many dogs that are abandonded and surrendered that they euthanize 96% of the dogs they take in. Such a horrible situation for a dog to find himself in. Now he is a lucky dog as I intend to find him the perfect home!
I see a fantastic "Diamond in the Rough" with Dash. He is 41 lbs., neutered, current on all vaccines and rabies, dewormed and Heartworm negative. He is also housebroken. A very healthy boy.
Dash is a very friendly, loving Aussie that truly wants a person or people to call his own. He is looking for direction, eager to please and he learns very quickly.
Please do your breed research before considering adopting Dash. I will only adopt him to a home that truly understands the herding breed dogs and are willing to invest the time and energy into his training and exercise needs.
Dash has a very strong herding instinct. He is terrific with all people, a great guard dog and wonderful with other dogs and he loves all people. Dash is no Wallflower! No aggression. Because of his instincts, I would not recommend that he go to a home with small children or grandchildren or small dogs. He will "herd" them!
Dash will need daily interactive exercise and lots of mental stimulation. He is a great candidate for any training. He wants to learn very badly from you and he learns quickly. He aims to please.
The other side of his personality is a big old goofy sweetheart of a boy who loves to snuggle on the couch at night. With the right person/people Dash could grow to be the dog of a lifetime, he is that special. He's an Aussie with a capitol "A" !!
Dash's adoption fee is $250
