Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bingo is a 9 pound, 2 year old, male black and tan longhair dachshund. He also has rather unique silver dapple markings on his chest, belly, legs, and feet, and his tail has a silver tip. He's absolutely adorable - it looks like he was assembled using "leftover parts"!
Bingo came to us as a stray. He has been neutered, had his teeth cleaned, was brought up to date on his vaccinations and is on heartworm preventative. He's learning good house manners in his foster home, and his housetraining is coming along very well. He has no accidents when he's taken outside on a regular basis. At night he settles down quickly in his crate and sleeps quietly through the night.
Bingo is definitely a bundle of energy! He will play for hours with a tennis ball - entertaining himself by chasing it around the room. Eventually Bingo will lay down and nap when he's tired. He doesn't bark much and isn't too interested in looking out the window - he's just too busy playing!
Bingo also likes chewing on cow hooves and other chew toys, but doesn't have much interest in stuffed toys. Because of his high energy level, Bingo would be an excellent candidate for agility training. He would do best with an active family, where he could take daily walks (or jogs) and have someone to play ball with him.
Bingo is very personable and will jump right up in your lap when he thinks you need a kiss - so be ready to catch him! He's quite obedient and comes running as soon as he's called. Despite all his energy and activity, Bingo does settle down quickly and will gladly cuddle in your lap or relax with you on the couch. He enjoys sleeping on the couch in the evening while his foster family watches TV. No doubt by then he's worn himself out for the day!
Bingo is a great little dog! Can you give Bingo a loving, permanent home with lots of attention? If so, read about our adoption process below and then contact us for an adoption application.
