My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big guy is Huey, and is 3 years old. He is a beautifully dappled colored Basset Hound/Wire Haired Dachshund mix; I like to call him a Dachshett Hound. He definitely takes after the Basset Hound side of his family. Huey and his sister and two brothers were owner surrenders after their guardian lost her farm and had to get rid of some of her dogs. Huey does great with dogs, kids, cats and my rabbit. Huey does love every person he meets; in fact he loves to fallow me around. As I type up him bio he is laying at my feet. Huey is good with kids but he is laid back and just loves to be a lazy hound, . He loves the attention and affection he gets from his people. Although he spent all of his life as an outside dog on a farm, he's figured out that the house life is pretty sweet, and took to potty training quick and has little to no accidents. He loves to sit at my feet and sleep, and seems to feel better knowing that I his foster mom am near. He is blind in his left eye do to an injury he had before he came into the rescue, but its fine and it don’t seem to bother him. Huey comes fully vetted (DHPP, Rabies, Neuter, Dewormed) and his adoption fee is $100.00
