My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lassie is a very loving sweetie. She is friendly, loves treats, and is sister to Hooch on our site. She is about 5 years young, still very young and cuddly. She is still being evaluated but she is sweet and likes to be petted She had a docked tail and natural ears. her color is grey and white. She is an average weight of 19 lbs. She just arrived on transport, from an over crowded rescue needing help to find her placement. She is very social and friendly. Our grandkids stopped over today and she was okay with that :)

Lassie's adoption fee is $225 and includes a dental and all of our vetting below. In addition she has had a bordetella vaccine for any boarding or grooming facilities. She also is MICROCHIPPED.. Lassieis being fostered by Jessica and her family in Warren OH. Lassie is house trained, leash trained and social. Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption.  We crate train them or potty pad train and work on potty skills.  When your application is approved, you will speak with the foster Mom for more information and you can check then at what point each foster dog is at.  Dogs learn quickly and most are pretty far along or trained  by the time of adoption.

Lassie has been examined by our vet, had a 5/1 annual shot, a rabies bordetella vaccine and rabies shot and tag dewormed, heart worm tested and passed. Spayed or Neutered before adoption. Our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives in season. We also do a dental if our vet deems it necessary which is included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee covers all vetting expenses and a small donation to cover the dogs food and care. She has a flea allergy now but will be healed up soon and on frontline protection. She also might need a special diet for bladder stones. She had some removed several years ago and it has helped keep them away so far. Email us for an update soon.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS--the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding areas.  Please make sure you are willing to drive to pick up the dog within 2 weeks if approved, and check the distance to the foster home per the location above.
