Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jolene's foster mom thinks it's in the stars that Jolene becomes part of her furever family! Way to go, Jolene! Another foster home becomes a furever home. 12.19.11
Meet Jolene, a super -social, super- loving, super- smart puppy. Jolene is about 12 months old. The vet thinks she is a Dachshund / lab mix, weighing in at 30 lbs. said she Jolene will not get much bigger then she is now, perhaps just fill out a bit when full grown. She is black with beautiful red brindle highlights and a white chest.
Jolene loves other dogs, and people. She lives in her foster home with 2 foster fur sisters and can’t get enough of them. She is doing really well learning basic commands, walks great on a leash, she is housetrained and is crate trained and absolutely loves her daily visit to the dog park. Jolene, loves toys, loves to play, but also has a great appreciation for relaxation time and cuddles! Jolene is good with older/calmer children.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, frontline and heartworm preventative.
Little Jolene seems to know she got a second chance at life and she is loving it. Saved from euthanasia (due to shelter overcrowding) with just moments to spare, this little pup leaped into the care of her foster home ready to appreciate every moment of life. All she needs now is a furever home of her own and she will have the perfect storybook ending. Will you be her furever after? Transport available.

If you are a parent adopting for your children, please remember we do pick the best home for our pups. If there are 2 applications that come in at the same time, for example, and one will be a better fit, that is the one we choose. Many parents pump up their children about getting a specific puppy, and it can be very sad for the child if the particular puppy isn't a good fit unbeknownst to them. We put this disclaimer here because a couple of parents have been upset when a home that used doggy daycare & had a fenced in yard was chosen over crate-all-day without a backyard. Peace.
