Lucy Begonia is a 6 year old Chihuhua who weighs 6 pounds. Lucy came in to rescue with her daughter, Ruby. Neither of the girls have lush, thick coats of fur. Lucy has thin hair mostly on her sides but the vet feels this is genetic. She also has a very slight heart murmur (it was heard on one visit but not on the next). The vet said the murmur is not a health issue and not uncommon with this breed so there is no reason not to believe Lucy will live a long, healthy life.
Lucy and her daughter weren't cared for very well as they had horrible teeth when they came in to rescue. They have both had dentals but Lucy lost quite a few teeth. It will be imperative that proper dental care is given in the future. Tiny dogs are known for plaque buildup and need routine cleanings.
Lucy is a very sweet little girl but can be a bully at times with Lucy. Although she will wash Lucy's face daily she will push her away from her food so they are fed seperately. She is crate trained, paper trained, and housebroken.
Little Lucy hasn't had the best life so far but she is a very sweet little girl who loves to cuddle. She is very quite and very friendly although she can be a little shy at first.
It would be wonderful if Lucy and Ruby were adopted together but they can be separated.
This dog has been spayed, received rabies and DHPP vaccinations, de-wormed and tested negative for heartworms. She is also micro chipped.
