Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is an assisted placement! Please contact Karin at beckylou13@q.com for more information or to adopt Buster.
I was wandering around a parking lot on a reservation in Arizona. I was ready to give up and it was cold and dark because it was the middle of February. I figured I'd have to find a place to curl up for the night and go to bed again with an empty stomach when a lady came up to me and started petting me. She seemed concerned about me and the next thing I knew she lifted me up and put me in her truck. Since I didn't weigh very much she didn't have much trouble picking me up. I was so tired that I fell asleep immediately and slept all the way to her house, 60 miles away. When I got to her house her dogs and cats greeted me and right away I felt at home. She gave me a good dinner, my first real meal in a long time and then I slept all night. A few days later I was taken to see the vet who was very impressed with how friendly I was. Her little boy came up and put his arms around me and I really enjoyed the attention. The vet said I am possibly a year and a half old and maybe a lab/staffie mix. I started taking obedience classes and the instructor thinks I'm a good guy and smart. I know how to sit, stay and am learning how to lie down and heel. I also love to play fetch and always bring the ball back. I also come when my name is called!
I would love to have a home of my own and someone to go hiking with. I LOVE to hike! I am fairly athletic so would need daily walks. I get so excited when I see a leash and think I'm going for a walk that I do a tap dance with my front feet. I would not be happy being tied up so would need a fenced yard with a fence higher than four feet as I can sail over a four foot fence! I am learning to have good manners and not chew things. I have a squeaky toy that I love and would like to bring it to my new home. Do you have room in you home and heart for me? I'm in good health and have lots of love to give. The lady who rescued me will miss me terribly but wants me to have a home with lots of attention.
