Hobbes has been in a home with teenage children and other dogs (a female AHT and an older miniature poodle); we do not recommend a home with small children. He is full of personality, sweet, quirky, high energy, playful, silly and just plain fun. Hobbes is housebroken and potties outside, though he has had some "submissive wetting" incidents - mostly with young men (usually strangers). He
loves food and is very motivated by treats, so is pretty trainable. Hobbes has a tendency to be the boss so we make him sit and wait for many things, like going outside, eating food or getting treats. He loves to sleep with his family, and likes to be under covers anytime. Hobbes is very "oral"; he chews a lot and gives lots of kisses on whatever human body part is near. He is fast, strong and agile; with his high energy level, he would probably be a good candidate for agility or flyball. Overall, he is a very happy dog and has a tail that is in a constant rocking wag while he looks you in the eye and tips his little head to one side. Hobbes was born on November 13, 2004. He weighs about 14 pounds. Hobbes would be good in a home as a single pet, but could probably adapt to other animals if the owner is knowledgeable about how to introduce him into the new pack. He needs some exercise or work to do, to tire him physically and mentally. Hobbes
likes bones and he
does not like shoes! Hobbes very much likes to
please his family!
