Darma is truly a before and after success story. Darma is a young black bi female; she turned a year old in December and is fully vetted. Darma and her sister Nixie came to rescue with several other dogs from a large breeding facility in TN. Since joining her foster family we are starting to see this young girl just blossom. Darma is great with other dogs, does not bother cats and is learning that to trust people. The first time we saw Darma she was so timid she had to be pried out of her crate, to see her now proudly walk into the vet’s office without blinking an eye is amazing.
Darma needs a home where she will get lots of attention and training, she is almost housebroken and she is crate trained. She has mastered leash walking and knows some basic commands. Darma came to rescue, lacking social skills and her knowledge of life was limited, and everything was new to Darma, grass, being inside, and introductions to new people. Since joining her foster family Darma has quickly come out of her shell. She is now a loving dog and enjoys being petted, gives great kisses and loves attention. Darma is excited about learning her mind is sponge, she is quick and smart and has limitless potential. However she will still need a home with patience to continue to bring her along in her progress.
Along with her sparkling personality her beauty has also emerged. Darma has a shining soft coat combined with her cute face and her quizzical head tilt, she is stunning. Darma is learning what toys are and enjoys playing with the other dogs. She is such a sweet and special girl with lots of love to give. Darma loves to roughhouse with her foster brothers and sister and she really enjoys toys, she gets tons of them out trying to decide which one to play with first. Darma would do best in a home without smaller children as sudden movements still frighten her as do some loud noises.
